We are looking to recruit compassionate, caring Healthcare Assistants who are committed to providing high quality care to patients in line with their individual Care Plan and under the supervision and guidance of the Registered Nurse. To participate in safeguarding patients from abuse, communicate effectively, promote privacy, dignity, choice, independence and individual rights.
To join our dedicated, caring team, you'll need a minimum of a Care Certificate/ NVQ Level 2 or higher and relevant experience – ideally within a palliative care setting. Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support. We expect you to have a talent for forging strong empathetic relationships with all kinds of people, whilst providing palliative care. Due to the nature of the role a flexible approach including the ability to work nights is essential.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
