Catering Assistant (Part time)

£8.91 per hour

26.25 hours per week.

Hours worked, 9.00am to 5.45pm, 3 shifts over a 7 day working week. (REF JOS009)

Location: St Joseph’s Hospice, Ince Road, Thornton, L23

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our fantastic Facilities team. The post holder will assist in the preparation and distribution of high quality food to patients, staff and visitors to the Hospice, whilst helping to maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and cleanliness at all times.  The postholder will also be required to provide occasional cover for the Cooks, so the ability to produce hot meals is a must. 

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a fast paced kitchen or café environment and an understanding of food preparation and storage. Knowledge of health and safety in a kitchen environment is a must.  A basic Food Hygiene certificate would be an advantage.   Additional hours during the week may be available to cover sickness and holidays.
