Families and businesses from across Merseyside and West Lancashire descended on the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool on Friday night (19th February) to raise money for St. Joseph’s Hospice (Jospice).

The hospice’s first Spring Ball was a great success, raising over £15,000 from guests at the glitzy event, which included a champagne reception and three-course meal.

The Mayor of Sefton, Cllr Stephen Kermode, and Mayoress, Gwen Kermode, welcomed guests to the Ball along with BBC Radio Merseyside’s Maureen Walsh, who hosted the event.

A bidding war followed at the auction, where some great lots were available, including naming an Eddie Stobart lorry, a round of golf with Kenny Dalglish and a framed Liverpool shirt signed by the full team, including Jurgen Klopp.

Mike Parr, Chief Executive of St Joseph’s Hospice, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who went along to our Spring Ball for their generous donations and I hope the all had a great night. Events, such as this, enable us to continue providing excellent, specialist end-of-life care to over 200 patients and their families every year.”
