Formby society supports Jospice

Members of the Union of Catholic Mothers from Our Lady of Compassion RC Church in Formby have presented over £830 to St. Josephs’ Hospice (Jospice) in Thornton.

The group’s support of the hospice goes back more than 50 years. In recent months, they have organised a wide rage of activities in the local area to support the hospice in Thornton, from collections and coffee mornings to bingo nights.

Mike Parr, Chief Executive of St. Joseph’s Hospice (Jospice), said: “We are very grateful for the many years of support from the Union of Catholic Mothers in Formby and for this very generous donation. They are always very supportive of our own fundraising events too. Community groups like this are very important as they enable us to continue providing specialist end of life care to patients from across Liverpool, Sefton and West Lancashire.”
